Director of Production - Maintenance (Landscaping)

Department: Maintenance Production
Location: Lake Bluff, IL

Job Summary:
The Director of Production is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality standards and procedures are maintained by production teams and crews. They will lead production efforts, collaborate with client representatives, business development managers, and territory vice presidents to ensure effective scheduling and production operations.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate staffing, equipment, and crew needs for production success.
- Develop production schedules in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead the production department efforts in identifying staffing needs and meeting client requests.
- Coordinate with Production Managers to adjust production schedules to meet deadlines.
- Participate in the development of production budgets.
- Manage quality, cost reduction, completion timelines, safety, employee relations, and performance measures.
- Develop recruitment and training programs for the production department.
- Coordinate internal resources to support production operations.
- Manage communication between departments regarding client requests and production needs.
- Maintain high standards of quality in all work performed.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 5 years of field experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of equipment and plant materials used in landscape maintenance.
- Valid driver's license, CDL preferred.
- Valid Certified Landscape Technician license.
- Ability to effectively use company production software (Aspire/Workday).
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lead and direct others effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver quality results under deadlines.
- Proficiency in general computer functions and Microsoft Office programs.
- Accountability for work completion and schedule adherence.
- Flexibility to perform duties as needed.

Working Conditions:
Work requires intermittent physical activity including standing, reaching and of sitting. Physical requirements may also include lifting, bending, walking, and pushing on an occasional basis. Work requires driving a car to various job locations. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to client needs and deadlines.
